Bobber: cos'è, cosa significa, che filosofia c'è dietro?

per me bobber vuol dire levare tutto il superfluo sulla moto, con un certo stile ovviamente, personalmente preferisco le preparazioni di hd mantova, poi ci sono infinite possibilitÃ* per interpetrare una moto e fare un bobber http://www.webchapter.it/smiles/happy5.gif

Allora...penso di essere un esperto in materia, eh eh..
"Bobber" deriva dal verbo inglese "to bob" che significa tagliare. Tagliare che cosa? I parafanghi, per esempio...
Questo stile è nato nel dopoguerra, quando i motociclisti la domenica pomeriggio correvano sulle piste in terra battuta con le proprie moto...e per guadagnare qualche decimo le privavano di tutto il superfluo e a volte anche del necessario...

o anche:erano le prima moto bikerizzate, negli anni 40, dopo la guerra e 50, i reduci americani cominciarono a girare in moto e fondare i primi club, prendevano delle vecchie HD e indian militari che costavano poco, e le modificavano, togliendo alcune parti, parabrezza, parafango davanti, tagliavano quello dietro, le ridipingevano, però nondi più, quindi la moto mantenva quella linea ciciotta tipica delle indian chief e delle h-d wl e wla.
i bobber sono molto legati agli albori del mondo biker, fine 40 e 50, per questo hanno una linea old stile.

in parte si, con la differenza che il bobber veniva spogliato per correre di più, il chopper ha la prerogativa della forcella lunga e una linea snella ma non sempre povera http://www.webchapter.it/smiles/happy5.gif

io pensavo che bobber avesse a che fare con i bombardieri, della seconda guerra mondiale, a me avevano sempre dato questa aasociazione di idee.

se appartenvano al periodo post-ww2
i propietari, volevano dargli anche quell'impronta lì

E' To Chop che significa tagliare

Infatti anche per fare un chopper levi ammenniccoli vari della moto originale.
Poi ovviamente spari le forcelle a Katmandù

Bobber credo sia riferito alla monetina che veniva chiamata Bob

I Biker infatti erano piuttosto squattrinati
