o Panhead, 1948-65, 1.000 cc (61in3) e 1.200 cc (74 in3)
o Shovelhead, 1966-85, 1.200 cc (74 in3) e 1.300 cc (80 in3) dalla fine del 1978
o Evolution (detto anche "Evo" o "Blockhead"), 1984-99, 1.340 cc (80 in3)
o Twin Cam 88 (detto anche "Fathead"), dal 1999 ad 2006, 1.450 cc (88in3)
o Twin cam 95 di 1545 cc , montato sul modello 2005 fatboy 15°anniversary, e disponibile anche con il Kit di trasformazione BigBore per i motori 1450cc
o Twin Cam 96 di 1584 cc , montato sui modelli 2007 delle famiglie DYNA - SOFTAIL - TOURING.

* Gli Sportster
o Ironhead, 1967-1984, 883 poi portato a 1000 cc
