Subject: SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN 0113
Dear Harley-Davidson Dealer:
Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Inc. has learned that certain 2001-
2003 Model Year FL Touring and Police model motorcycles, including
FLHPI, FLHTPI, FLHPEI, FLHTCI, FLHTCUI and FLTRSEI-2 (2001 only),
have a condition whereby the 40 Amp. main circuit breaker could open
due to reasons other than for which it was designed, thereby causing
an unexpected interruption of all electrical power to the
motorcycle. This condition could cause a "quit while riding"
situation, which could lead to a crash, thereby causing death or
injury to the rider.
We have voluntarily declared this a defect related to motor vehicle
safety (Campaign 0113) to allow us to formally recall all affected
motorcycles. The remedy of this issue is to replace the circuit
breaker on the above noted vehicles.
In the interest of the safety of our mutual customers and as
required by law, you may sell but NOT DELIVER any affected
motorcycles to your customers. A service bulletin outlining the
repair and credit procedure, along with a list of affected VIN's
will follow within two weeks.
In accordance with Federal regulations administrated by NHTSA,
Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Inc. will provide notice to all
owners of record of affected products with direction to bring the
vehicle in for the recall service.

In pratica dice che il relais di circuito principale da 40 amp. potrebbe aprirsi senza motivo causando l'interruzione di corrente elettrica alla motocicletta con ovvie e spiacevoli conseguenze.
Non so se sia specifica per la produzione USA o interessi anche l'International.
Provate a chiedere al vostro dealer.

a milano dicono che potrebbe riguardare anche la produzione internazionale ma che comunque finchè non saranno pubblici i numeri di telaio delle moto da richiamare, non si può sapere nulla di più.

Harley-Davidson Inc. is recalling 73,678 motorcycles to replace a faulty circuit breaker that could cause a sudden stalling of the motorcycle engine and potentially lead to a crash.
The National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration said Tuesday that Harley's recall encompasses touring motorcycles - including Road Kings, Road Glides and Electra Glides - from the 2001, 2002 and the 100th anniversary 2003 model years. The recall involves about a third of all of the touring bikes Harley made in those years, and about 9% of all Harley motorcycles produced in that time frame.

...anche il karaoke con sting pare non funzioni. il timbro di voce quando la moto è in movimento sembra quello di masini...

E piantala con sta Gayritage Crabs!
In genere quando un Harleysta arriva alle Touring non torna INDIETRO.
Fattene una ragione, ti avevo suggerito di comprarla, non l'hai fatto, te ne sei pentito amaramente...........accetta la situazione per quello che e'.
Puoi sempre rivenderti la Gayritage Crabs e acchiapparti una King nuova.
Forse non ci devi mettere neanche tanto di differenza, soprattutto se cambi il parafango anteriore e fai riverniciare quello posteriore.http://www.webchapter.it/smiles/happy4.gif
